Hurricane Irma was much more powerful than several of our residents ever imagined. I knew where I lived that I did not have time to think it out, I didn’t have time to wait it out, and I did not want to live it out. I immediately decided that it would be best to close the facility and to evacuate the city. Here’s one of the craziest things about owning my childcare business that I never thought I would say: I was totally unprepared for what happened. As I went through my parent handbook, and all of my thousands of SOPs, I realized that I never, ever thought about what to do in the event of a hurricane. ...Read More about How To Prepare Your Business For A Hurricane Emergency Closure

From ...Read More about The One Practice That Accelerated My Childcare Business: Read Your Way To Success
What an awesome time we’ve had hosting live events in my preschool program for the 2016 school year. It’s been an amazing time to see our children move on to public school, private school, or become an after-school student. I enjoy hosting live events because it gives me an opportunity to see the work that I’ve put into the children, the staff, and the parents come into full fruition. Just a few weeks ago, we hosted our preschool graduation program, and it was an amazing event. One of the reasons why the preschool graduation program was amazing is because I utilized it as a way to have all of our children participate in the children graduating, and all of our children participate to show our family and friends exactly what the kids have gained and exactly what the kids have learned while attending our program. See, I believe ...Read More about Andrea’s Custom Style For Hosting A Preschool Graduation

Ok, here is goes: One day I was observing my children writing with non-crayola crayons and the crayons would write and then disappear, and my students had to press down very hard to get the color to appear on the paper and when it did, the pigment from the crayon wasn’t true to color. Then I noticed that when using crayola that my children were happier about writing, their hand eye coordination wasn’t interfered with aggressively pressing down with force which in turn, they ...Read More about 3 Tips To Discovering How To Upgrade Your Childcare Business By Taking Business Trips

The best way for people to find out about you and your childcare business is to for you to extend an invite for them to visit you for lunch with a purpose! Of course those who attend would need to know you and have a relationship with you or the luncheon would need to benefit them somehow. We wanted to garner up their participation for our new ideas for the 2015 year. I believe that the best way to improve community awareness is to take your business to the community.
