I believe that Mondays are the beginning of greatness in your childcare business, but knowing exactly how to manage yourself, your time, and your childcare program on Monday is what really matters. There’s a key secret to having a productive week, and it all starts from how you plan your week on your Monday. Mondays are key to you manifesting the success that you want in your childcare business. Many times as childcare business owners, we take our Mondays too lightly, and we treat our Mondays as if they’re any normal day but Mondays are truly not. Mondays are your opportunities to create what you want to see happen in your life and business. I call it, Money Manifestation Monday because I can think about ways to take my business to the next level on Monday.
I want to give you a few key points that, I believe, you should know when creating a successful Monday in your childcare business. Key point number one, never open your childcare program yourself on a Monday. This would be a great time to allow your assistant, your lead teachers, or your key-holders, to build your trust up in them, by opening up your childcare businesses on Monday mornings.
Number two, on Monday mornings, take time to listen to some type of motivational audio or CD while on your way into the office. For me, I enjoy Les Brown, and ET the hip-hop preacher. Number three, always arrive to your workspace or your office space no later than 9 am on Monday mornings. Allowing your staff and team to manage as much as they possibly can in your absence will give you a clear idea of what it would be like if you were absent for longer periods of time.
As soon as you get in your office, here are a few things that I highly suggest that you do; number four, access your yearly mission statement. While attending the Andrea Ignites Childcare conference or the Build It Big conference, I always tell my clients to have their mission in mind for what they want to achieve. Goal acceleration and goal achievement has become so clear to me because I now understand that in order for me to really live my dream childcare life, I must have a mission that drives me every single day to reach my goals. I highly suggest that you write your mission down on a post-it note and post it on your desktops, your laptops, your picture frames. Post it up in your office so that every where you go, you have your mission statement before you so that you can do the next step, which is to begin creating childcare plans for your week. Your plans that you create for your week should help you move closer and closer to achieving your mission in your childcare business.
Then, there is number five. Before you get too busy in your day, review your parent roster. Know what parents you have attending your childcare program and who their children are so that you’ll be clear as to who your serving for this week. Then, last but not least know your numbers. On Mondays, you want to know how much money your business has to collect, what bills need to be paid, and also any ideas you’ve had to generate more increase in your business. Mondays, as you can tell, are one of the most precious days of the week, and it should not be handled or managed as a time to get ready. It should be a time where you stay ready. Most of your Monday success is going to derive from what you do on Sunday. I hope that you can understand the importance of having your Mondays as a day for manifestation.
